We believe that by remembering our innate connection to nature, and that we are nature, our soul and the soul of the Earth will come back into alignment. From here, a beautiful future may bloom.
We focus on the intersection of the Amazon Rainforest, indigenous wisdom holders, and the Western World.
We believe there is another way of living in harmony on Earth.
We take groups to villages in the Amazon Rainforest to experience their ways of living and being. We also bring indigenous wisdom holders to the Western world for cultural exchange experiences to showcase their rich heritage, music, plant knowledge, and artcarft and share about their role as stewards of the environment.
Each year we partner with a project in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru or Brazil where we have strong alliances. We choose a project focused on improving key infrastructure or cultural practices.
A foundational pillar of Alma y Tierra is the Andean concept of Ayni, roughly translated as sacred reciprocity. This is not an organization with singularly directed impact; rather, we believe that all people involved must grow and improve together.
